1927 Inaugural meeting Jerusalem Chamber Westminster Abbey (6 December)
1928 Mr H L A Green appointed as Secretary
1929 Activities begun at College of St Nicolas, Chislehurst (Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Lang, "opens" College 3 July)
First Summer School held (12 August)
1930 First Choral Festival Royal Albert Hall
1931 Choir Book No.1 issued
1934 Sir Sydney Nicholson tours Australia, NZ, Canada & USA (commencing 21 July)
One of NZ's earliest Affiliation Certificates issued to ChristChurch Cathedral Choir (1 November)
1945 Gerald Knight appointed Warden of the College (later to be Director - 1952)
1946 College of St Nicolas opens in Canterbury
1947 Death of founder, Sir Sydney Hugo Nicholson (30 May)
1950 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the late Queen Mother) become patrons:
Grant of Coat of Arms (19 July)
1952 Decision to move from Canterbury to Addington Palace (first academic term at Palace began 1954)
Gerald Knight appointed Director
1957 Constitution for management of overseas branches promulgated
1963 First issue RSCM News - now known as CMQ (Church Music Quarterly)
2003 RSCM NZ Constitution and Registration as a Charitable entity.
RSCMNZ Website Version 1 launched.
2008 Lindsay Gray assumes duties at RSCM Director General on the 1st of May, following retirement of Professor John Harper.
2009 RSCMNZ Website Version 2 launched (1 Jan )
RSCM NZ Foundation Registered as a charity: to support financially the work of the RSCM NZ.
